It is one thing to hear about someone’s beauty secrets — and it’s another thing entirely to see them. Back in February, US Editor Meredith sat down with blogger and Birchbox collaborator Gala Gonzalez before filming the video to promote her new Color Club®’s Gala’s Gems nail polish collection where she walked Meredith through her make-up bag. For a girl who spends a lot of time in front of the camera lens, her daily routine is surprisingly minimal. Her best trick? Everything she uses has high impact. Dior Glow Maximizer
I like the pearly effect on my face. It’s bronzy, healthy, and looks like you just came back from Rio de Janeiro. Especially when you apply to your nose and cheekbones.
Benefit They’re Real! Mascara
It really enhances your lashes. Yesterday my friend, who never notices anything, asked me if I was wearing fake lashes when I had it on. It’s affordable, it works, and it doesn’t dry out as quickly as my other mascaras. It’s the biggest revelation ever.
Diorshow Art Pen
I really like liquid liner because I like to do the cat-eye flick because it’s cheeky. Sometimes I do that ‘60s look where I paint under my eyes like Twiggy. When I was 20, I used to draw dots and that’s one of the things that really kicked off my career.
Clarins Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
I really focus my makeup look on my eyes. Since I do a flick a lot, I always have this on me to clean up any mistakes.
